I am post vasectomy approx. 30 hrs now. My concern is my stomach, It is very bloated out like literally a 5-7 month pregnant woman. Its not like gas, something different. Not painful but just pressure. Of course the doctors office is now closed for the weekend, (friday at 440 pm) with no msg of who to contact other than the emergency at the hospital.
Is this normal?… will the extreme bloating go away?
Bloating is uncommon after a vasectomy and unlikely related to the procedure itself. More commonly, certain medications given for pain control after the procedure can cause gastrointestinal problems, including bloating. If an antibiotic was prescribed after the procedure, this might contribute as well. Discontinuing the offending drug usually will cause the bloating to resolve.
