I had a vasectomy about 10 years ago. I got remarried a year ago and was wondering how if possible to get the sperm to fertilize her eggs with out getting a reversal? Thanks for any help. And would my insurance help pay for?

    Dr. Edward Karpman

Testicular or epididymal sperm retrieval with IVF/ICSI is an alternative to vasectomy reversal in the couple who desires fertility after a vasectomy. Most private insurance plans do not cover sperm retrieval or IVF/ICSI unless there are specific infertility benefits included in the plan. Checking with your own insurance provider would the best thing to do.
