Vasectomy reversal question

From Christy:-
Hi and thank you for answering my question. Well the dr told me at out 8/21 visit that even if my husband had 100 million sperm with over 50% motility it they would not be good enough to penetrate the egg and so I would still need IVF. That is a lie so needless to say my normal ob/gyn sent me to another RE so I have that appointment on the 30th of September. In the meantime, my husband has gotten epididymitis in his right testicle AGAIN. He normally gets it at least twice a year and has already gotten it twice since surgery on June 13th, he got it the first time 2 weeks post op and then I just took him to the ER with it yesterday. Do you know what could keep causing him to get this infection? And also how bad its possibly affecting his surgery site. His urologist is NOT on top of things. He still has that marble like lump under his right testicle, so I don’t think he ever got rid of the infection the first time. I’m just so upset at this very moment! Thanks again!
Before proceeding with any course of action after a vasectomy reversal, it is important to critically evaluate the semen analysis and allow for an adequate amount of time to pass for the vasectomy reversal site to heal. Since it has only been 3 months from the reversal, patience is a virtue. Persistent pain and “epididymitis” after vasectomy reversal could represent persistent obstruction on that side. The disparity in the quality of fluid seen at the vasectomy reversal suggests that an epididymovasostomy was required on one side and, therefore, doing a vasosvasostomy would not provide the symptomatic relief that was sought with the vasectomy reversal.
