Please note that as from late July 2007 the Vasclip website has been down, and I've not been able to contact Vasclip by email either.
More information on Vasclip, the FDA approval and the position of healthcare insurance companies.
The following are stories from men who have had the Vasclip procedure done.

Anthony had his vasectomy done using the Vasclip procedure. He had persistant discomfort after the procedure, and when he sent in the original story was considering having a reversal. This ultimately happened - he had the clips removed. The update details his experience, and his experience in getting the insurance company to pay for the treatment. |

"I chose the Vasclip because psychologically I liked the idea of "very" minimally invasive although to be honest I doubt there is much difference. It seemed to help me get over the hurdle a little bit to go over this route. Overall, I am very pleased with the approach." |

Vasclip failure story. "In October 2004 I had an elective sterilization performed using the VasClip device. In April my doctor declared me sterile based on a single negative test result. My wife missed her period in November. This isn't all that uncommon, so we decided to wait and monitor the situation. When her period didn't show up in December, we bought a pregnancy test and it was positive. I am upset that the procedure didn't work - especially since I chose this method due to faster anticipated recovery time (versus a vasectomy with cauterization) and expected success." |
