| Chris #5 Added April 3, 2011 |
Chris was talked into having a vasectomy by his boss, and it failed. 6 years later and he's still using condoms. "I was FURIOUS with myself for listening to anyone that told me that a vasectomy was no big deal. Clearly they never had MY vasectomy. So here I am, 6 years later, no spontaneous sexual encounters. Condoms rule my life when it comes to that. And I have to hear an endless array of ridiculous statements that aren't meant to be that way - but they are, just before coitus, by my wife like "well... suit up!" or "Roll one on", or "slip on the rain coat." Do yourselves a favor. Let HER get the tubal. It'll work out way better for ya." |

Chris read a lot of the stories here, and picked his doctor carefully. He says:- "Thank God for the information and stories shared on this website. The stories shared here brought immeasurable ease to the nervousness I felt as I approached the day of my surgery." Lots of useful information and insight in this story. |
| Jason #3 Added April 3, 2011 |
Straightforward vasectomy story, but Jason decided not to take pain killers during his recovery. "It's now 24 hours later and the only thing I really notice is the incision. If I didn't have this phobia of pills it would be completely gone. I'm in no mood to go for a jog, but not in any significant pain either. Anyone with reservations about the procedure (pain, etc.) needs to not worry." |
| Paul #8 Added April 7, 2011 |
Straightforward vasectomy with swollen testicle complications. |
| Randall Added May 2, 2011 |
Randall and his fiancee are childfree, and he had his vasectomy done at a Marie Stopes clinic. |
| Tim #3 Added April 20, 2008 Updated May 29, 2011 |
"I've been bothered with chronic epididymitis most of my adult life, with pain ranging from barely noticeable to flat on my back in ER wanting to rip out the offending part with a spoon. Needless to say, performance was an issue during these times and condoms were certainly of no assistance. The thought of an unplanned pregnancy was always lurking in the back of my mind-which was also of no assistance in the performance department. So, what other option does a guy have but to entrust his most precious possessions to a (hopefully) skilled professional for alteration." However, Tim is childfree. Coupling the epidiymitis with the childfree status meant that his doctor wasn't so keen....The update is four years post vasectomy. Tim reports that the epididymitis episodes are few, and details his thoughts about sterility now. |
