My vasectomy story - a piece of cake
I really wanted to share with people my experience of my vasectomy because when doing research about having one I really got scared. Most of the stories I read were negative about the experience. But I am here to say it's not all doom and gloom.
I am 44 years old, single and in good shape. I have no medical problems or past injuries. I decided to get a vasectomy because I felt I reached an age where I didn't want to have children. I also didn't want to get trapped in a relationship because of a mistake. I have no money for such a procedure so I went to Planned parent hood. I plead poverty, so they only charged me $250.00
The procedure was a piece of cake. The shot hurt a little, but not anything I would remember. It is minor surgery, you should feel some discomfort. The whole thing was done quicker then I expected with much less pain then I expected. The others who got it done that day came back to the waiting room, and you would never know they had anything done.
I was worried about swelling and oozing, etc. I did nothing strenuous for the first two days. I put ice on throughout the day. My boys hurt a bit. But not nearly as bad as they do after sex when they are smacking against her all night.
I had sex a week later and played softball with no problems. It's been two weeks now and it is as if nothing was done to me. Just follow your doctors orders, take it easy, and you will be fine. I am glad it is out of the way now. I wish my dentist appointments would go as smoothly.
