My straightforward vasectomy

My partner and I decided that one of ought to be sterilised just before Christmas. I decided that it would be easiest for me to have the op and I went to a Marie Stopes Surgery on 12th January where it was quickly and painlessly carried out with local anaesthesia. 2 injections - one into each side soon dealt with any fear of pain. The Doctor cauterised the tubes through a single cut which was left open and unstitched. My partner who works at the Accident and Emergency Unit of a local hospital was insistent that I took things easy for a week had no problems whatsoever after the surgery and very little bruising.

My tip is to wear very tight pants if you want to minimise the risk of problems for a couple of weeks at least. The wound was quite weepy for about 3 weeks. I think it might have been better stitched as I could very nearly push my little finger into it to start with.

I won't tell you how I coped with this but my girlfriend did have to buy a few extra packs of pantyliners! I haven't supplied any semen samples yet. The first one is due on 4th April and hopefully will be clear.
