"17 years on and..."
Hi All,
Just started reading this group, and thought it might be helpful
to those considering to report on 17 years post vas.
1. My vas in 1987 was done under a local - hopped (well maybe not hopped, but let us say climbed gently) off the table and drove 20km home - hated the road bumps on that trip!!! Female surgeon working for a sexual health clinic did the snipping - she was doing about 10 so a week so I figured she probably had learnt how to do it by now.
2. Took the weekend off from work, and just layed around taking it easy - back to work on Monday - some discomfort driving, but otherwise OK apart from a little tenderness.
3. Resumed sex after 3 weeks - no sweat - no complications - naturally had to keep using protection until sperm count clear.
4. No real change in sex frequency, pleasure or capability - but emotionally much less stress as no worry about pregnancy any more - GREAT!!!
5. Looking back, this was one the best decisions - had a few partners since and alway great for both of us that no worry about pregnancy.
