After finding out my wife was pregnant for a second child, it wasn't long before I had an appointment to have a vasectomy. As standard practice they ask you why. The conversation was short and sweet. Doctor : "Why?" Me: "well I have one great boy and another on the way" Doctor: "So you have completed the family right?" Me "well considering I'm 43 and we didn't want children, I would say YES"....
This procedure is really nothing major and certainly nothing to break a sweat over. Do as the doctor says and rest for a couple of days. That means don't do anything physical. Trust me on that one, I didn't listen!
I keep hearing from many of my wife's friends that there husbands are "afraid" to go. Please don't leave this up to the woman as it's a MUCH bigger procedure. Just sign up and do it! Oh and as for sex afterwards? Well now that the possibility of another pregnancy is out of the way, things are better than ever....My kids? they are with out a doubt the best "surprises" of my life!
